I’ve chosen to focus my blog on the freedom of choice—more specifically, gay rights. Something I firmly believe in is the importance of Gay rights. They are people too, and those who dehumanize them are just showing the lack of humanity in themselves. I've seen far too many people I love and care about bullied and abused because of their lifestyle. Why would someone choose a life where they would be degraded and looked-down upon daily by the majority of our nation? It's not a choice, it's a fact. I dedicate this blog to them.

This issue is extremely important because it affects people’s lives daily. America seems to be teetering on the edge of a conservatism and Liberalism. Recently the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy in the military was removed—a pretty big step for conservative nation. I strongly believe that eventually we will get to a point in America where being gay is not that big of a deal. It will be one of those things people look back upon and wonder how it was humanly possible for such prejudices to be held—similar to the rights of African-Americans.
